The Fifteenth Tripartite Meeting between the Heads of the three intergovernmental satellite organisations took place today at the ITSO Headquarters in Washington DC. Hosted by ITSO Director General, Mr Patrick Masambu, the meeting was attended by Mr Piotr Dmochowski-Lipski, Executive Secretary of EUTELSAT IGO, Mr Laurent Parenté, Executive Secretary of IMSO and Ms Renata David-Brazil, Director General-Elect of ITSO, whose mandate starts in July 2025.
The Heads of the three organisations reviewed the challenges and successes related to their organisations since the last Tripartite meeting and discussed the rapid changes in the telecommunications sector driven by the rise of LEO constellations and the increasing importance of satellite connectivity.
The three organisations reaffirmed their commitment to working together with a view to sustain growth, sustainability, and stability of the global telecommunications sector. They remain dedicated to promoting initiatives that enhance coverage, connectivity, and the protection of public interests.
The next Tripartite Meeting will take place in Paris in the Fall of 2025.
