EUTELSAT IGO team participated this week in the World Radiocommunication Seminar organised by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Given the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic, this edition of the seminar was held online.
This event presents an opportunity for key stakeholders to better understand the challenges and importance of the Radiocommunication sector. It also provides interactivity with key members of the ITU-R who are best positioned to provide detailed information on the ITU Radio Regulations. The following topics of interest to the Organisation were presented in great details:
- Structure of the Radiocommunication Sector;
- Legal framework of the ITU-R;
- Outcome of the World radiocommunication Conference (WRC) 2019 and preparation for the 2023 WRC;
- Activities and Operations within the Space Services Department.
